Following groundbreaking results achieved from the LESU pilot study conducted in Kasese District using permethrin-treated baby wraps (LESUs) to prevent malaria among children under five years, as published last year in the New England Journal of Medicine (https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2501628), today the team has conducted a pre-visit to Isingiro District to gather information that will support the scale-up of the study to the district. The team started with the Office of the District Health Office, where they met the DHO, the Malaria Focal Person, and later continued to health facilities including Kabuyanda Health Centre IV and Kashumba Health Centre III.
